We run garden tours throughout the year showing seasonal highlights.

The house is closed for the the winter. House tours will resume on Tues 31 March.

Tours are bookable when you arrive at reception.

Walks & trails

Go kick some leaves at your local National Trust place

For a gentle stroll try the Winter Garden & Riverside walk (40 mins).

For longer walks there's the Woodland Path & Hoe Fen Trail (1hr 30) or take the longer Circular Walk (2hrs) - boots recommended.

Delicate Snowdrops

Enjoy a walk around the gardens as thousands of delicate snowdrops herald the arrival of spring.

Exploring Hoe Fen

The Wildlife Discovery Area is the perfect place for children to have fun in the great outdoors. Start your adventure at the Inspiration Station in reception.

Build dens, watch birds and bugs in their natural habitats, tell a tale in the story telling circle, chill in the Dream Dome and see the view from the giant Lime Tree Lookout treehouse.
