The team of seven trained conservators are supported by a studio assistant and an administrator. Their wide range of experience and skills, added to the knowledge of other specialist Trust staff, results in multidisciplinary team working to find the best treatment solutions.
Ksynia Marko – Studio Manager ACR
Following a degree in Textiles and conservation training at the V&A Museum, Ksynia ran her own successful Textile Conservation Studio in London. She joined the National Trust as Manager of the Studio in 1991. Ksynia leads the work of theStudio Team and in her capacity as National Trust Conservation Adviser, consults with internal & external clients on the care and conservation of their textiles.
Philippa Sanders – Senior Conservator ACR
After a degree in Philosophy, Philippa obtained a PGDip in Textile Conservation at the Textile Conservation Centre, Hampton Court Palace and joined the National Trust as a Textile Conservator in 1992.
Rachel Langley – Senior Conservator ACR
After a degree in Biological Sciences, Rachel progressed into textile conservation through a 3 year Tapestry apprenticeship at the Textile Conservation Centre, Hampton Court Palace and has been with the National Trust since 1993.
Rosamund Weatherall – Senior Conservator
Rosamund’s background in fashion, a degree in fine art valuation, voluntary work at Calke Abbey and an MA in Textile Conservation at the University of Southampton led her to the Textile Conservation Studio in 2006.
Claire Golbourn – Senior Conservator
Claire has a BA(Hons) in Restoration and Conservation from the London Guildhall University and after working with the preventative conservation team at Hampton Court Palace joined the studio in 2000 as Textile Conservation Technician rising to be Senior Conservator.
Nadine Wilson – Assistant Conservator
Nadine has a BA(Hons) in Conservation & Restoration and an MSc in Care of Collections. She worked as a conservator at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts prior to specialising in textiles during her internship at the Trust Studio in 2005.
Jane Smith – Assistant Conservator
Jane’s change of career from a Teacher to Textile Conservator has followed on from her MA in Conservation of Historic Objects, Lincoln University, a period at the Landi Company Ltd and two years as an intern at the Trust’s studio in 2007.
Eleanor Codman – Studio Assistant
Eleanor has an Advanced GNVQ in Art and Design, specialising in textiles. In 2004 she worked as a volunteer at the studio developing into her current role as Studio Assistant.
Nathalie Reynolds – Business Support Co-ordinator
Nathalie’s has a BA(Hons) in Textile Design and a number of years working freelance in the fashion industry across Europe. After working as an administrator for the NHS she joined the studio in 2012.
