50 things to do before you're 11 ¾ at Cliveden

There’s plenty of outdoor adventures to be had in the gardens and woods here whatever the weather. How many of the 50 things can you tick off your list?

Here’s our pick of some of the best things to have a go at this autumn and winter here at Cliveden. If you haven’t got your 50 things scrapbook yet, or would like some further pointers, pop into the information centre in the car park when you arrive.

    No. 6 - Run around in the rain

    You can still have fun on a rainy day… pull on your wellies and come and hunt for some puddles.

    No. 9 - Eat an apple straight from the tree

    Join us in the Round Garden for our special Apple Days on 19 and 20 October. They’ll be lots of different apples to try as well as autumnal games.

    No.10 - Play conkers

    Come for a winter walk and keep you’re eyes peeled for conkers – try the Ilex Grove in the gardens. When you get home, ask an adult to help to make the hole and thread the conker.

    No.15 - Play in the snow

    Pick a day with light snowfall and wrap up warm - but check before you travel as we sometimes have to close in bad weather.
     

    No. 21 - Pick blackberries growing in the wild

    Brambles are scattered around the woodlands and are usually full of blackberries in autumn. Ask an adult to show you which berries are safe to pick and watch out for thorns!

    No. 33 - Catch a falling leaf

    For the prettiest leaves head to the Water Garden where you’ll find bright red, orange and yellow leaves drifting down.
