Make the most of the dark winter evenings with Winter Light at Waddesdon. Follow the trail around our Gardens that will lead you around the new light installations created by acclaimed light artist Bruce Munro.

Bruce is one of the most exciting practitioners in this rapidly evolving field, and his work is a tribute to the artful blending of nature and design which is so characteristic of the Gardens at Waddesdon. Explore the six light-based artworks centered on the Aviary, which feature thousands of miles of optical fibre, water-filled bottles and fluorescent tubes, with some choreographed to music with magical effect. During normal hours the trail will be lit from 3pm or alternatively you can view them at one of our late night openings.

Late night openings

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 29 November to 29 December view an Austrian Christmas in the House in the afternoon, then make your way to the Gardens as they open late until 8pm for you to view the stunning exhibition as the light begins to fade.
