Charles Paget Wade spoke of the power of objects to ‘inspire a thousand fancies’. In 2014, Berrington Hall is showcasing a series of costume exhibitions against the backdrop of its beautiful Georgian interiors.

29–30: Dressing and Undressing the 18th-Century Lady
The stay maker, Ian Chipperfield, will demonstrate the complicated art of dressing and undressing the 18th-century lady. In addition there will be Conservation in Action demonstrations and a ‘Gorgeous Georgians’ quiz in the house.
