We have a wide programme of activities and sessions for school groups. Whether you seek education or adventure, our learning team is here to make sure you get the most out of your visit…

Brancaster Activity Centre
Our residential activity centre is a stone’s throw from Brancaster beach, which means that it's the perfect base to explore the coast. Just step out of the door and into a kayak or discover the muddy delights of the saltmarsh. Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge accredited, our experienced instructors are here to make sure your stay is full of adventure and fun. Whether you want to cover key areas of the new curriculum or just want to enjoy the great outdoors, check out our programme of activities.

Felbrigg Hall
What was it like to live 200 years ago? Take a trip into Felbrigg’s Victorian past with an immersive day of learning outside of the classroom. Role-playing, object-handling and a ‘behind the scenes’ tour of one of the National Trust’s finest country houses will all help bring history to life.

Hatfield Forest
We have a dedicated team of staff who bring to life the dramatic history and wonders of this ancient forest. From the animals and their habitats, woodland detectives to the history of the Forest. We have a stimulating outdoor classroom, an extensive area of woods and open spaces for pupils to immerse themselves in the natural world. So, do take a look at our extensive primary and secondary programmes.

Houghton Mill
At Houghton we can tailor your school visit to match your curriculum. Enjoy hands on activities in this working watermill, from grinding grain and hoisting grain sacks, there’s plenty of wildlife to look out for on the water too.

Oxburgh Hall
Delve into the past of this magnificent Tudor manor house and discover some of its secrets. From towers and turrets to a priests hole! Find out more about Tudor costumes and domestic life or perhaps you want to explore outdoors? Self-guided visits are also available, to allow you to develop your own journey into the past.

Sheringham Park
You’ll be spoilt for choice at Sheringham Park. From Forest School sessions, bushcraft activities, land art fun, orienteering, pond dipping and much more. There are plenty of habitats to discover and explore whether it’s with our team or perhaps you’d prefer our self-led option?

Sutton Hoo
Visit the burial site of King Raedwald and see Anglo-Saxon history come to life with guided mound tours, activities and an interactive exhibition at Sutton Hoo. What will you uncover on your visit?

Wicken Fen
School children will love a day out in nature's outdoor classroom. We can provide facilities and activities to support topics being studied in school or teach specific points on the syllabus. Why not join us for pond dipping, minibeast hunting, wild art, geocaching, or another of our fun activities?

Wimpole Estate
Wimpole is a large working estate with home farm, large country house, formal and walled kitchen gardens and extensive parkland. We welcome self-directed school visits to all areas of the estate and can provide resources to support your visit. Or perhaps you’d like to join one of our learning officers with our guided activities on the Farm.
