The Midlands is full of wonderful wildlife so why not pull out your pens and pencils and let your imagination run wild. We'd love to see your drawings.

If you're aged 12 or under and would like a chance to win a half-day lesson with artist Shelly Perkins, please send us a picture inspired by the wildlife at a National Trust place here in the Midlands.

Top Tips

Artist Shelly Perkins has shared her three top tips for drawing, use these to help you create your masterpiece.

1. Always keep your pencils well sharpened to make your lines neat and accurate

2. Always start your work with light, soft lines, this allows you to work out your composition before committing hard lines that cannot be removed

3. Avoid over using your eraser, often some misplaced, quirky lines can bring a drawing alive!

4. Most importantly have fun and enjoy yourself. We can’t wait to see your drawings!
