Hoathwaite is a quiet site

Arrival Times

You are welcome to pitch your tent any time after 12pm on the day of your arrival. Please make sure you pitch at least 6 metres from the next tent.

If you have not booked your pitch in advance you can assume that pitches are available unless the ‘campsite full’ sign is displayed.

Campsite staff will be around in the morning to collect any fees due.

Departure times

Please leave your pitch by 11am on your day of departure.

If you wish to stay an extra night, simply pay your additional fees to campsite staff when they visit in the morning.

Quiet please

We ask that our visitors are considerate to their neighbours at all times, but ‘quiet please’ between 11pm and 7am.

We like to create a feeling of spaciousness around the campsite (it's also a condition imposed by the local authority to comply with fire regulations), so please allow a six metre gap between tents.

Party sizes

The size of a party (except for organised groups) is restricted to a maximum of four adults and four children.

Organised groups such as scouts, Duke of Edinburgh award groups and similar can be accommodated at certain times of year, but we have to reluctantly say no to large groups of friends and families.

Four-legged friend

Dogs are welcome on site (maximum of two per party), but you must notify us at the time of booking. A charge will be incurred for each dog.

Campfires are strictly forbidden, but barbecues are permitted, provided they are raised off the ground.

Small print

In addition to the site rules above we also have some terms and conditions that apply to your booking. Please read through them.
