    Grand gathering in Great Langdale

    Ideal for a family gathering, Silverthwaite is a grand 5 bedroom house that sits between Skelwith Bridge and Elterwater in the Langdale valley. Spacious enough to sleep 8 people, this Arts and Crafts house is a great base for exploring Great Langdale, Coniston and Ambleside.

    We have some new campervan bays at Wasdale this year complete with electric hook-ups taking us up to 11 in total. We've also added a few at Langdale to add some comfort to your stay.

    New for 2015 - Nordic tipis at Great Langdale

    Basecamp Tipis at Langdale

    Our partners BaseCamp Tipi have brought 3 Nordic tipis to Great Langdale campsite complete with raised wooden floors, woodburning stoves and reindeer skins. And there are some fabulous, uninterrupted views over the Langdale Pikes and Bowfell to add to the experience.

    New for 2015 - Bushcraft courses at Low Wray

    Children learning about the natural world at Cragside

    Bushcraft courses will be held at Low Wray Campsite every Monday through the summer holidays with sessions in the morning and afternoon.

    Access to the bushcraft site is by raft across the beck. Activities will vary throughout the summer but will include shelter building, fire building and campfire cooking.

    Contact reception to book (min age 5). Cost £25 per person including campfire lunch.

    Our camping pods at Langdale and Wasdale have heating and lighting - no need to rough it!

    The pods at Low Wray don't - so remember to bring some extra warm clothing.

    Return of the Herdy Huts

    Stay in a delightful fully equipped shepherds hut at Hoathwaite by the shore of Coniston with our partners Herdy Huts.

    Spend a night or two in the open air in a comfy hammock. You'll be protected from the elements by a tarp and there's a mossie net to keep you safe from any biting beasties.
