    Campers at Low Wray

    Great Langdale, Low Wray and Wasdale each offer a high standard of camping facilities with modern shower and toilet blocks, on-site shops and a variety of pitch options.

    Hoathwaite offers basic amenities and will appeal to those looking for a more rough and ready camping experience.

    Camping pod at Low Wray Campsite

    If you're looking for a little more comfort, we have a number of pods at Great Langdale, Low Wray and Wasdale.

    The pods are made from wood, with double glazed French doors and are fully insulated. They come in two sizes – standard which is suitable for 2 adults and 1 child, and family which is suitable for 2 adults and 3 children.

    The pods at Great Langdale and Wasdale have heating and lighting and are available all year round – a great option for winter stays.

    Glamping - Berber tents

    Berber tent at Low Wray campsite

    We now have two new Berber tents for hire at Low Wray campsite.

    The tents are furnished and have a wood burning stove. They can accommodate between four to six people.

    Wasdale - Nordic tipis

    Nordic tipi

    Two new Nordic tipis are now available at Wasdale campsite.

    The tipis are airy and spacious, and are equipped with a wood-burning stove and electric hook-up. They are suitable for four adults or a family.

    Hammock camping

    Discover your inner Ray Mears and get close to nature by camping out in a hammock.

    Provided through our partners, Lakes Hammock Camping, you'll be under a tarp and have an optional mossie net to keep the beasties out.

    There's also a fire pit, fire glove, and flint and steel to practice those bushcraft skills.


    Campervan at Great Langdale Campsite

    We have facilities for campervans at each of our four campsites. The maximum size campervan we can generally accommodate is 6m long and 2m wide. Great Langdale has some capacity for larger campervans / motorhomes, but call ahead on 015394 37668 to check availability.

    Pitches with electric hook-ups are only available at Great Langdale and Wasdale. All pitches are hardstanding, except at Hoathwaite where they are on grass.
