Come rain or shine there’ll be plenty of family fun on offer during February half-term at places we look after. Enjoy some fresh air and get closer to nature, or get creative indoors in places full of intriguing stories from ages past.

Go wild outside and tick off some 50 things to do before you’re 11 ¾ including den building and camp fire cooking, kite flying and geocaching, stargazing and night walks. You can also go in search of early spring flowers, bugs and pond creatures or leaves, twigs, stones and shells to create wild art with.

Give wildlife a helping hand for spring by building a nesting box, bird feeder or a home for an insect. Or you could learn some green fingered skills and plant seeds and bulbs you can watch grow as the days get longer and warmer.

Have a cosy indoors adventure learning what life was like for the Tudors or the Georgians or try your hand at some traditional seasonal baking. There are also lots of opportunities to get crafty and make something unique to take home with you.

By taking part in our half-term events and fun family trails you’ll not only have a great day out, you’ll also be helping us look after special places including castles, beaches, woodlands and gardens for everyone to enjoy.
