Get married at Ham House and Garden

Hold your civil ceremony in our great hall for up to 60 guests, on a Friday. Receptions can be held in a marquee in our kitchen garden for up to 350 family and friends, on any day of the week.

The ceremony

The great hall, a fine example of aristocratic grandeur, is licensed for civil wedding and civil partnership ceremonies. It can accommodate up to 60 guests, plus the bride and groom, on Fridays between between April and October.

You will need to contact Richmond Registration Office for information and details of the registration fees.

Marquee reception

The garden is available for hire for marquees on any day of the week.

  • April to October: a marquee can be erected in our picturesque 17th century kitchen garden for up to 350 guests. 
  • November to March: a marquee can be erected at the front of the property overlooking the ornate cherry garden and can accommodate up to 250 guests.
