The North Staffordshire Association is a voluntary association of National Trust members living in the North Staffordshire area.

It was founded in 1980 to provide an activity focus for local members of the National Trust. The Association runs a varied annual programme of events for members, and makes donations every year to assist particular projects within the National Trust.

Our activities include a programme of coach and car outings and usually a holiday, lasting about 4 nights, in various parts of the country and on occasion to foreign destinations. Outings have included stately homes, both National Trust and privately owned gardens, museums and concerts.

In the autumn and winter there is a series of monthly talks, recent ones including Treasure Trove and the Staffordshire Hoard, Madness and the Medical Profession and The Titanic: the Midlands connection. We also receive updates by representatives from National Trust sites.

From time to time, rambles and lunches are arranged, recent walks being at the Deep Hayes Country Park and at Broughton and at Fairoak.

Any profits on our various activities are used to support specific projects at National Trust properties, both locally and nationally. In recent years, support has been given to projects at Little Moreton Hall, Biddulph Grange Gardens, Downs Banks and the Llyn Peninsula.
