A panel of judges will then select a shortlist for each award category. All shortlisted entries, and their work, will be profiled here.

The final vote for our Octavia Hill Awards will be put to the public to find our overall winners. Voting will take place at the end of March 2013.

Winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony in London in June 2013 and profiled in BBC Countryfile magazine.
