The Mid Sussex Association of the National Trust was founded in 1976 and has nearly 400 members. It covers a large area focusing on the towns of Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, East Grinstead and surrounding villages. Membership is open to National Trust members and volunteers.
The group was set up to promote the National Trust locally and raise funds to support local National Trust properties.
We do this by arranging an interesting programme of talks during the winter season, outings during the summer and other social activities such as coffee mornings, a summer holiday and guided walks in the grounds of local properties.
Talks cover a wide range of subjects and the outings include trips to National Trust properties and other places of interest.
Annual donations are made to properties and recent contributions have been made to Nymans, Sheffield Park, Standen, Batemans and Saddlescombe Farm.
