The Mid Sussex Association of the National Trust was founded in 1976. It covers a large area focusing on the towns of Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, East Grinstead and surrounding villages. Membership is open to National Trust members and volunteers.

The group was set up to promote the National Trust and raise funds to support local places.

We do this through arranging a programme of talks during winter, outings in summer and other social activities - such as coffee mornings, a summer holiday and guided walks in the grounds of local places.

Talks cover a wide range of subjects and the outings include trips to National Trust places and other places of interest.

Annual donations are made to properties and recent contributions include Nymans, Sheffield Park, and Knole. We have also given support to the South Downs NTV group.

We send out three newsletters to members each year, which contain information on local activities and on general issues of National Trust significance.
