East Dorset Association regularly give donations to local places

The East Dorset Association, founded in 1988, has around 650 National Trust members and volunteers drawn mainly from the areas of Ferndown, Wimborne, Verwood, West Moors, Ashley Heath and Merley but we welcome new members from anywhere in the East Dorset area to this particularly busy Association.

The Association's objectives are to promote and prosper actively the work of the National Trust and to organise social activities to make membership of the National Trust more enjoyable. These include:

  • talks
  • walks
  • bridge
  • lunches
  • outings to National Trust and private places
  • a variety of social events

In addition to regular, substantial donations to National Trust places, such as Kingston Lacy and Brownsea lsland we also support National Trust appeals, for example, the Neptune Coastline Campaign and the acquisition of Tyntesfield, near Bristol.

A number of our members actively volunteer at Kingston Lacy and Brownsea lsland.
