We help in many ways, such as for school transport to Activity Centres

Founded in 1972, the Sheffield Association has over 400 members. Many of them live in Sheffield and the surrounding area though there is no geographical limit on membership.

Membership is open to members of the National Trust and affiliated organisations and to holders of a valid National Trust Volunteers Card.

Our objectives are to support and promote the National Trust and to make National Trust membership even more enjoyable by providing a varied programme of activities for our members.

Activities include holidays by coach, day trips by coach and regular talks.

National Trust places that we have helped recently include:

  • Longshaw Estate - for school transport to the Activity Centre.
  • Woolsthorpre Manor - telescopes for the Science Discovery Centre and replica Ccstumes for the children.
  • Yorkshire Dales - a GPS to enable grid block mapping and other surveys.
  • Nostell Priory - towards an electric mobility vehicle for disabled visitors.
