Merseyside National Trust Environmental Volunteers
Thinking about volunteering and want to be part of a group? Our volunteer groups help our staff with hands-on involvement, organising conservation days and weekend events.
We're a friendly group, founded in 1987, with a wide range of ages and backgrounds.
There are tasks for you whatever your fitness, you could be clearing scrub, maintaining woodland, repairing fences or footpaths, conserving sand dunes or planting trees and hedges.Just think of us as your green gym!
Work sites range over Merseyside, Wirral and parts of Cheshire and North Wales at locations as varied as the grounds of Speke Hall, the coastal habitats at Formby and the heath and woods at Helsby Hill, amongst many others.
We work most alternate Sundays, from 10am to 3-4pm, with breaks for refreshments and the drivers amongst us will be happy to give you a lift.
Make new friends while learning new skills and maintaining our local heritage. Join us for meals out and walking trips or our residential weekends in areas such as North Wales or the Lake District.
