Thinking about volunteering and want to be part of a group? Our volunteer groups help our staff with hands-on involvement, organising conservation days and weekend events. Activities range from footpath and step construction to planting and coppicing.

The Cambridge National Trust Volunteers (CNTV) have been in existence for over 25 years and, as an independent volunteer group, we actively support the National Trust by giving up some of our time to help preserve and maintain its special places.

Our work is typically on Sundays at National Trust places and spaces in the Cambridgeshire area. We also plan several longer working weekends further afield during the year, staying overnight at the local National Trust basecamp.

Skills?

There's something for everyone to learn and share - gardening, stewarding, hedgelaying, tree planting, fencing and more - the list is endless. We aim to enjoy our tasks and learn new skills. Safety is important so each task begins with a safety talk and instruction on using the tools.
