Aberdaron in North Wales

Thanks to the generosity of the supporters of the Neptune Coastline Campaign, the Welsh Assembly Government through Visit Wales, and the European Development Fund, a vital stretch of coastline on the Llwn Peninsula in North Wales has been saved.

The land from Henfaes to Porth Simdde, home to endangered wildlife, rare flora and fauna was under threat from development. It sustains a local community who passionately want to defend the area they love and their unique way of life. The appeal in August 2010 saw an amazing response, raising over £400,000 towards the project.

With its unspoilt charm, this beautiful site has its future secured and a coastal centre of excellence will be created for everyone to enjoy.
