Formed in 1970, the Amersham Centre is a voluntary group of National Trust members and volunteers promoting the work of the Trust.

Our aim is to provide a lively and interesting programme whilst at the same time raising funds for the vital work of the Trust.

We have a healthy membership of almost 500 - the majority of which live in Amersham, Chesham Bois and Chesham. We also enjoy good support from Chorleywood and the Chalfonts.

Our activities include:

  •  Monthly evening meetings from September to April, usually with a guest speaker
  •  Usually 20 or so trips throughout the year visiting National Trust places and other historic houses
  •  Classical concerts
  •  Monthly walks - none too strenuous
  •  A Christmas lunch

We issue a newsletter each February and August setting out details of our activities.
