The 2012 Fine farm produce awards have been announced and Killerton estate has come together and collectively won nine awards.
Which produce won?
Big congratulations to our countryside team and volunteers for the estate cider, apple juice and Ashclyst forest charcoal.
A welldone to our restaurant team for the Killerton apple chutney and to the custodian millers for the Clyston Mill wholemeal flour. Not forgetting our tenant farmers at Burrow farm for the red Devon beef topside and Ashclyst farm for organic whole, semi-skimmed milk and clotted cream.
About our Fine Farm produce awards
The awards recognise the very best produce from National Trust tenant farms and estates.
Now in their seventh year, they are supported by Freedom Food and celebrate the breadth and quality of produce grown, reared or made on special places owned or managed by the National Trust, including tenant farms, orchards and gardens.
