Stourhead mulled wine

- Cooking time: 20 minutes
- 1 orange
- 12–14 whole cloves
- 1 litre (1&3/4 pints) red wine
- 1 litre (1&3/4 pints) lemonade
- 50g (2oz) brown sugar
- 150ml (1⁄4 pint) orange juice
- 1 cinnamon stick 15cm (6in) long
Stud the orange with the cloves and cut in half.
Place all the ingredients in a large pan and bring very slowly almost to a simmer.
Serve hot but do not allow to boil.
