During December 2023, every Saturday morning from 9:30 am until 10:15 am the Mansion will be open for SEN (Special Educational Needs) relaxed sessions. These sessions were quieter and more relaxed, especially designed for visitors on the Autism Spectrum or who have sensory processing difficulties and may find visiting during regular opening hours overwhelming. For these sessions we asked visitors to please book onto these sessions in advance.
During these relaxed opening times we had the following resources available to help visitors with their visit:
• Visual Story • Sensory maps • A small handling collection • Sensory bags from Visitor Reception • Ear Defenders from Visitor Reception.
Families visiting Attingham this in December will be able to treat their little ones to the magic of the ‘Tale Trail’. With decorated trees around the Mile Walk all themed around classic fairy tales, families will need to guess which tree has come from which tale.
This is a free trail and does not include a prize.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy Christmas magic in the Walled Garden where not everything is as it seems.
Visitors to the outdoors will not need to book for the trail or the outdoors.
National Trust members and under 5s visit for free, admission charges apply for non-members.
