A variety of schools programmes

At Attingham learning is brought to life through our extensive range of hands-on programmes. We're proud of their quality and happy to work with you to ensure your school has the best possible experience.
Work experience placements

We provide valuable, week-long work experience placements for secondary school and higher education pupils, providing insight into the way a heritage site is run. Places are on a first come, first served basis.
Duke of Edinburgh volunteering

We provide diverse and entertaining volunteering opportunities for students completing all three levels of the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. Places are limited and are on a first come, first served basis.

We offer the following ‘indoor’ programmes:
- Homes in the past
- WWII at Attingham
- Paintings and portraits
- A ball at Attingham
- Christmas in the past
Programmes can be adapted to suit your requirements.
Programmes outside in our park

The main outdoor programme we offer is 'Wildlife', which can include activities such as a deer park ride, pond dipping, mini beast hunt and woodland walk. We also have an orienteering course mapped out which is suitable for primary schools.
Self-guide visits

If you wish to explore the grounds of Attingham with your class you are welcome to self-guide. Self guided visits are free to Education Group Members (EGM). All self-guided visits need to be pre-booked via the Family and School Engagement Team.
