Scandals and spending
Attingham’s future was almost frittered away by the 2nd Lord Berwick, who married a courtesan over 20 years his junior and bankrupted the estate. Find out more about scandals and the family in our Road to Ruin and Berwicks in Brief tours.
Care and conservation
Peeling back the layers of the past is a tricky job—meet our experts and discover how we’ve been revealing our rooms’ hidden stories, and continue to care for the mansion on our Re-discovered tour. The last of the Berwicks to live here began this restoration process - you'll be able to discover the story of Attingham's rescuers on our tours.
