Groups

A warm welcome

Groups are welcome to visit Basildon Park during the week: Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays). We're well situated for group visits, in close proximity to the M4, M40, M3 and London. We can accommodate groups of all sizes.

We only require advance booking for 15 people or more. Please contact us for group admission prices.

Planning your visit

We would recommend that you allow three hours to see the house, gardens and have time to stop for lunch or tea.

Coach parking

Coach parking is in the main car park, which is 400 yards from the house. A free tea or lunch voucher is provided for the coach driver. Please be aware that the gates are 3.2m (10ft 6") wide.

Access information

The main house is a 400 yards' walk from the car park. There is a buggy transfer for anyone less mobile. The main showrooms of the house are accessed via 20 steps.

Car groups

There is space for up to 10 classic cars to be parked on the front lawn. If you'd like to bring your car club, please contact us to arrange your visit and discuss your requirements.

    We can arrange guided tours of the house for your group to discover more about the history of Basildon Park.

    The cost per person is: 

    * Members - £8.00

    * Non-members - £17.50 (includes admission)

    Get a bite to eat

    Our tea-room is located on the ground floor of the house. Please find opening times here. Hot food is available from 12pm - 2.30pm every day. We serve a wide range of foods, including hot and cold lunches.

    We do ask groups to stagger their entry to the tea-room to manage queue times for all our visitors.

    Explore the parkland

    We've four self-guided walks in our parkland. They're all clearly sign posted with way-markers.

    They vary in length and difficulty, with two being suitable for all-terrain buggies.

    Enjoy afternoon tea

    Why not treat your group to a private afternoon tea in the Garden Room?

    We will serve a menu of sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and some of our homemade cake. 

    Afternoon tea is priced at £24 per head (Min 25 people - Max 40 people)
