Belton has lots to offer for families, whatever the weather! Enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas, now open all year round. You can also pick up a spotter trail, visit the Discovery Centre, and check the article at the foot of the page to find out what seasonal family fun is coming up.

Outdoor Adventure Playground

Revamped in 2015, Belton's outdoor adventure playground offers plenty of bespoke play equipment with something for children of all ages to enjoy.

Water play features, climbing frames, slides and a giant play tower are all waiting for young explorers to discover.

You can also take a ride on the miniature railway, which winds through the playground and into the nearby woods.

The playground is open every day of the year except Christmas Day. Onsite toilets and refreshment kiosk will be opening in 2016.

Ride Play Cafe

Simply put, the Ride is all about indoor adventure play - not soft play.  Some of the best loved parts of Belton have been recreated - from the Boathouse to the beehives.
It's all built in solid timber as it would be if it were an outdoor adventure playground. Joined together with hanging walkways, cargo nets, slides and tunnels there's hours of fun to be had.
On quiet days there are lots of soft toys, bug costumes, books and puzzles to play with. And if your little ones aren’t big enough to enjoy the play equipment on their own - you can play too.
Grown-ups can enjoy a cup of tea along with sandwiches, cakes, coffee and hot snacks all day. There's a separate menu for children too. Like the playground, the Ride is open every day of the year except Christmas Day.
Please note that at peak times a timed ticket system entry applies.
The Discovery Centre

The Discovery Centre is open most weekends from 12.30 - 4.30pm, as well as various school holidays.

The whole family can take part in seasonal craft activities, borrow materials to explore the gardens and parkland and discover more about Belton's stories.
