Find the Joss House on your walk in the Chinese Garden at Biddulph Grange

For the first time since the National Trust opened Biddulph Grange Garden, we are opening the Joss House in the Chinese garden.

The garden, which takes visitors on a journey around the world, is perhaps most famed for its stunning Chinese garden which was designed by creator James Bateman, to reflect a Willow Pattern.

The Joss House, which is a beautifully decorated small Chinese temple, is home to a very cosy seat which makes for the perfect spot for a moment of reflection and relaxation whilst overlooking the magnificent Chinese garden. Ascend the steps of the Great Wall of China to get to this quiet haven, a true experience in itself.

In the Chinese garden you will also find a decorative dragon parterre which was newly restored in 2011 to transform the inset dragons from their former faded condition to a dazzling fiery red.

What will you experience as you explore the global journey of Biddulph Grange Gardens?
