The guide will become knowledgeable about the Victorian and Second World War aspects of the property and surrounding areas and be able to deliver a tour targeted at school groups studying at Key Stage 1 and 2 level.
Education Day Leader
A Volunteer Day leader is there to assist in facilitating, with the Community Learning Officer, the educational use of the Back to Backs by educational groups.
You'll be involved in ensuring the Volunteer Education Assistants can carry out their tours by carrying out varying tasks and that each education group has a fantastic and informative time while at the Back to Backs.
Booking Line Assistant
A Volunteer Booking Line Assistant is great part of enhancing the public's enjoyment and experience of the property.
As a first point of contact for most visitors to the property, you'll ensure that everyone wishing to visit is booked on a tour before they arrive and that everyone has the appropriate information regarding their tour.
The main part of our charm is the tours we give.
A guide gives an extra dimension to the property with their knowledge and passion
Atmospheres Set-Up Assistant
An Atmospheres Set-Up Assistant is involved in ensuring that each day our houses are set up and presented to the highest standards for our visitors. You will also be involved in creating the right atmosphere for each of the houses as the visitor travels through time.
You'll learn how to care for the collection using different skills and methods, as well as learning about the history and purpose of the collection.
