Atmospheres Set-Up Assistant

Help add atmosphere to the Back to Backs

An Atmospheres Set-Up Assistant is involved in ensuring that each day our houses are set up and presented to the highest standards for our visitors. You will also be involved in creating the right atmosphere for each of the houses as the visitor travels through time.

You'll learn how to care for the collection using different skills and methods, as well as learning about the history and purpose of the collection.

  • a chance to see the property through one of our guided tours
  • find out what exciting roles we are currently recruiting for
  • meet and talk to existing volunteers about what they do and what they have to say about volunteering for us
  • a chance to ask any questions you may have about volunteering for the Birmingham Back to Backs.

Our taster days run at regular intervals throughout the year, so to register your interest and find out more information about the next available taster day, please email the property.
