For Key Stage 2, we offer a more in depth workshop to either kick start the work in the curriculum or to compliment the work already done.

Interactive tour

Your school group will be given a taste of Victorian life in the Back to Backs. They will, along with their guide, light the fires to start the day and then visit the two Victorian houses and the courtyard where they will get the chance to see, hear, touch and smell everything Victorian while the guides talk about the property and the families who lived here.

Activities

After the tour (and a short break where drinks are provided) the children have the chance to do as the Victorians did. This involves keeping the house clean and tidy, washing the clothes on washday, having that rare visit to the sweet shop and even having a bath.
