In two hours

Immerse yourself in the rich history of Blickling's house and gardens. Imagine what life would have been like as a servant, and then spend some time admiring the parterre and double borders in the garden. Before you go, head for the second-hand bookshop, pick up a bargain and take it to one of the cafes for a quick read.

In three hours or more

Arrange a highlight tour of the house and discover the fascinating stories of Blickling's past with one of the knowledgeable guides.  With each new season, there's something different to see in the gardens. Explore the less well-known spots, like the Dell, the Secret Garden (sshhh!) and the Wildnerness. Visit the shop on the way through to one of the cafes for lunch or afternoon tea.

Great!  Plan your day around the best of the weather. By following the suggestions above, you should have some spare time to explore the park and wider estate. There are cycle and walking routes from 2 to 5 miles through the hidden depths of Blickling's woodland. You can pre-book a cycle or a segway, or simply have a stroll.
