When can you visit with your dog?

Bodnant Garden is the paw-fect place for walking your dog, with interesting sights, sounds and smells. You can bring your dog:

  • from 5pm on Wednesdays, May to August inclusive for a summer evening stroll
  • 10am - 3.30pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, November to February inclusive for a brisk winter walk

If you're planning to visit on a day when dogs are not permitted, Tal-y-Cafn Kennels and Cattery, just under two miles from Bodnant Garden, offer a drop-in service for garden visitors. They will look after your dog for a small fee.

To help you and your dog, we provide:

  • water bowls in the car park, by visitor reception and in the Dell
  • poo bins around the site
  • short leads and poo bags, available from visitor reception

To help our visitors, dogs and wildlife get along, please follow our code of conduct:

  • Keep your dog on a short lead and under close control at all times
  • Pick up after your dog and dispose of poo responsibly
  • Respect other visitors to the garden, especially those with children
  • Do not allow your dog to jump up at or become entangled with other visitors
  • Please respect signs and requests from the property team
