Discover Borrowdale with us
Working in the great outdoors with people eager to learn is one of our favourite parts of the job. There's nothing like seeing that lightbulb go on over someone's head, whether they're a child from a primary school, an undergraduate student, or someone from the University of the Third Age.
We offer primary school visits to help with teaching science and geography topics, John Muir Award, and also reward days for Year 6 based around our 50 Things to do before you're 11¾
Ewes and views
In partnership with local hostels and the Forestry Commission at Whinlatter, we offer a package to schools coming for a residential stay. The package includes one night full-board accommodation at the hostel, a half-day visit to Whinlatter and a half-day visit to a National Trust tenant farm where they can feed the lambs or see sheep shearing, depending on the time of year.
