Want something adventurous for the kids to do outdoors. Then try out our natural play area on the island. Listen to a clip from our head ranger Reuben Hawkwood who talks about outdoor adventures and play on Brownsea island.
Bird and wildlife spotting
Bring your binoculars along and visit one of our bird hides on the island. You might see avocets, terns and godwits on the lagoon and woodpeckers and small seed-eating birds in the woodland. Also look out for our famous red squirrels and maybe see one of the elusive golden pheasants or sika deer.
Electric buggy tours
For visitors who are less mobile, this beautiful island can be explored through our electric buggy tours. Helpful and fascinating guides will take you on a trip around the island. They will stop at various sites of interest so that you can enjoy the views, wildlife and history that is to be found here.
