You can spot these beautiful dragonflies by the pools in summer

Sign up for our dragonfly course and find out more about these fascinating insects; the course is led by County Recorder Sue McLamb. The next session on Tuesday 24 June looks at the dragonflies that arrive in the summer.

Come and see if you can make a raft that’ll float on the reservoir

Every Friday in August you can join us for our raft building workshop. During the workshop you'll be taught how to lash the poles together to create a raft, but then it'll be up to you to come up with a design. You'll then try it out on the reservoir. Be prepared to get wet!

Every Wednesday throughout the school holidays we'll be running pond dipping sessions; there will be one session in the morning and one in the afternoon. This is a great way to find out what creatures make their home in our ponds and stream.

Join us on Saturday 27 September at 8pm for the last in the series of talks led by Alan Longstaff. This session is all about galaxies, with the opportunity to do lots of star gazing (weather permitting).
