Top 10 ranger views

Our rangers have put together their 10 favourite views on the Long Mynd. They take in some beautiful sights across Shropshire and more locally, of the valleys and features on the hill.

Go on an adventure

Climbing a tree and looking at the views is just one thing the kids can do

Pick up an adventure trail in the valley and let the kids explore the valley. See if they can find their own route to the reservoir, up rope pulls, across streams and down hills.

To celebrate the Great British Walking Festival we have come up with a new walk in Carding Mill Valley.

The Pipe Walk takes in a couple of the main features in Carding Mill Valley including the reservoir and Lightspout waterfall, and it also offers great views across to Bodbury Hill. This walk takes in one of the higher paths around Cow Ridge so it gives a nice perspective looking up Carding Mill Valley.

Walkers are welcome

Church Stretton is a designated 'Walkers are Welcome' town. This guarantees great walking, spectacular scenery and warm welcomes wherever you go in the town and the surrounding countryside.
