To find out more about the history of James Wyatt’s masterpiece, marvel at the lavish interior, hear stories of the numerous generations of the Lowry-Corry family, and explore the extensive world below stairs… why not take a guided tour?
Join one of our knowledgeable guides for a tour of the house from March to September. Tours last approximately 1 hour, and take in all of the main reception rooms in the mansion, including the grand oval Saloon which is considered the focal point of the whole House. The tour also ventures up the beautiful 'imperial' staircase, where you can see the State Bedroom on the first floor which was prepared for a visit by King George IV. The tour concludes in the vast basement, which gives an intriguing insight to the hidden world beneath the stairs, and has been described as the engine which runs the house above.
