Who's for cake?
After a day exploring the castle and grounds, reward yourself with a slice of cake and a warming cup of tea. Our old favourites include fruitcake, lemon drizzle, Bakewell tart, Victoria sandwich and coffee & walnut sponge, all freshly made with local eggs from Rushford Mill Farm in nearby Chagford.
Indulge yourself with a delicious snack or light meal at our café.
From warming soups to sandwiches and sweet treats, there’s something for all tastes.
Situated at the entrance to the Drogo estate, just a stone's throw from the Teign Valley, the café is the perfect place to warm up after a long walk. Eat alfresco on our patio area; during the warmer months, our café doors open wide joining the outdoors with ease and open spaces. Our traditional cream teas, with homemade scones, locally made clotted cream and strawberry jam, are a popular favourite. You also won’t want to miss our wide selection of mouth-watering cakes, all freshly made on site.
Our catering team work hard to prepare specials which reflect the seasons, so there is always something new to try. We use seasonal produce which we buy locally wherever possible. We even use our own venison in autumn. It doesn't get more local than that.
