Rivers that rock

The Teign Valley is bursting with adventures to be had. There are lots of animals, plants and great geology. Its river has pushed and pulled and smoothed the rocks to create the landscape we see today.

Download the tracker packs below to become a real-life Dartmoor explorer. Take a look at the sheets and decide which you’d like to do. Then check out the kit bag page (pdf) which suggests things for you to bring along.

The activities can be done anywhere and anytime, but be careful when the rivers are full and fast-flowing.

Before you set off, don’t forget to get the grown ups to read the safety tips (pdf). You don’t want an accident to ruin your adventure.

OK. Ready…steady…go rock those rivers
