Over 170 volunteers help us to care for Chastleton, in many different roles.
Room guides are vital in showing the property to our visitors and bringing it to life with their stories of the family who lived here, whilst specialist conservation volunteers help with cleaning precious pewter plates and books. In the garden, volunteers help our Gardener, Anna, and share its magic with our visitors through regular guided tours.
We are always looking for enthusiastic people to join our dedicated team, so whatever your talent and interests you are sure to find something for you.
To find out more about volunteering with us, please contact the property assistant on 01608 674 981 or email us for more details.

A warm welcome

We are always looking for friendly faces to help in the visitor reception. If you love working with people, and would like ot help us give them the best start to their visit, get in touch.
Anyone for croquet?

Chastleton House, the 'cradle of croquet'

Chastleton House is known as the 'cradle of croquet' - the rules were codified on the lawns here in the 1860s. Would you like to share this quintessentially English game with our visitors during the summer months?
