Thinking about a group visit to Chedworth? Why not book our team to deliver a ‘taster talk’ to your group or society ahead of your visit? We'll introduce a bite-sized history of the site and leave you primed and ready for your visit.
We’ll present a well-illustrated talk covering the establishment of the Villa in the 2nd century, its heyday in the magnificent 4th century, its demise following the fall of the Roman Empire, and the rediscovery of the site by the Victorians in 1864. We'll also introduce you to the mosaics and archaeology of the site.
We've already delivered sessions to lots of different groups
Over the past year we have presented to local Probus and U3A groups, National Trust Associations, History Societies and Rotary Clubs.
Following our visit, the Stow & District Civic Society said; 'I want to thank you so very, very much once again for agreeing to talk to us about Chedworth Roman Villa. We so much enjoyed hearing about the developments at the Villa - especially the news of the latest discovery made only a few days earlier! Your visit couldn't have been better timed I think.
As you could tell there were many in the audience last night - like myself - who had visited Chedworth in previous years, but who now must make sure we visit again very soon and see for ourselves the wonderfully exciting developments which have taken place. I think you could also tell from the number of questions after your talk that we'd all enjoyed your presentation thoroughly.'
