Located in the courtyard, our shop offers a small selection of your favourite National Trust products, from interesting jams to beautiful stationery. Pick up some sweets for the way home, a special book or jigsaw as a memento. Or you can shop online.

Our secondhand bookshop is a treasure trove of pre-loved tomes, with books for all ages and interests. Pick up a bargain whilst contributing and helping to support our work. Donations are also very much appreciated.

Volunteers needed

At Claydon we offer a lot of opportunities for volunteers, and we are currently looking for some volunteers to help out in our shop.

Courtyard restaurant and tea shop

Located in the Courtyard at Claydon, the Carriage House Restaurant, an independent restaurant who also run the tea rooms, is open every day for private hire, special occasions including wedding receptions and corporate events. Next door you will find the Tea Rooms which are open Saturday through Wednesday during the Claydon season from 11am to 5pm providing guests with delicious lunches, cakes and afternoon tea. Lucinda Brown is a ceramic artist who runs an independant  gallery in the Old Granary, which is attached to the Courtyard. The gallery includes her own work alongside that of numerous highly regarded international artists. In addition to the gallery you will find her vintage store and a garden complete with angels.
