Our secondhand bookshop is a treasure trove of pre-loved tomes. Pick up a bargain whilst contributing and helping to support our work. Donations are also very much appreciated.

We have a wide selection of books for you to browse and buy

We've relocated the smallest shop to its new home overlooking the courtyard. Come and browse our selection of new and used books. We have a lot of variety from gardening and baking to science fiction and children's. Friendly staff are available to help you with your choices and purchases.

A spot of retail therapy

Our shop offers a small selection of your favourite National Trust products, from interesting jams to beautiful stationery. Pick up some sweets for the way home, a special book or jigsaw as a memento. Or you can shop online.

Courtyard restaurant

Located in the Courtyard at Claydon, the Carriage House Restaurant, who also run the tea rooms, are open Saturday to Wednesday during the season from 12pm to 3pm for a more formal lunch. Next door you will find the Tea Rooms which are also open Saturday through Wednesday during the season from 11am to 5.30pm and serve a range of beverages and home made cakes, light lunches and ice cream. Lucinda Brown Gallery in the Courtyard at Claydon

Lucinda Brown is a ceramic artist who runs an independant  gallery in the Old Granary, which is attached to the Courtyard. The gallery includes her own work alongside that of numerous highly regarded international artists. In addition to the gallery you will find her vintage store and a garden complete with angels.
