Nelly’s Labyrinth is a network of winding paths and tunnels cut out of a vast area of rhododendron forest. Named after a reputed local witch, the labyrinth is a great place to play hide-and-seek or explore.
We have a wonderful play area to explore at Cragside - swing across the monkey bars, whizz down the spiral slide or take a seat at our picnic benches.
Take time out for a bit of nature watching. Head on up to the Formal Garden where you'll find our wildlife hide. Will you spot a red squirrel?
Hunt for our woodland sculptures - there are four to find:
- William the Wizard
- Storyteller's Chair
- The Owl
Food and facilities
There are baby-changing facilities at the Visitor Centre, children's lunch boxes in the tea-rooms and children's portions of some meals.
