Come and sample our wide range of delicious homemade food, drinks and cakes.
With the bike racks outside and hot, hearty food and drink inside, it is the perfect place for a bite to eat.

Browse a book at the Penny Pot
We have a dog-friendly picnic area with tables & chairs or picnic benches for those warm summer days, as well as lots of seating inside with a sofa and wood-burning stove for those not so warm summer days.
We also have books for you to leaf through at your leisure while enjoying a drink or a bite to eat. The books can be exchanged for another or bought for £1.
Choose a chutney at the Penny Pot
We have lots of food and drinks to choose from, including breakfasts, jacket potatoes and panini using local produce.
You can choose from a range of chutneys for your sandwiches before finishing off with wonderful cakes baked on site by the lovely Pat.
Free hot drink
Ask our Penny Pot Café staff for a hot drinks' loyalty card and collect stamps at all National Trust cafés across the country when you buy a cup of coffee or tea. Collect nine stamps and you can get your tenth hot cuppa on the house.
Why not visit our other Peak District cafés? Longshaw grows their own veg in the kitchen garden behind the visitor centre and the picnic area outside the Manifold tea-room at Ilam Park has stunning views toward Thorpe Cloud.
