Eat your fill in the Billiard Room

Something for all the family to enjoy © National Trust

Something for all the family to enjoy

Originally the billiard room and smoking room, this building was added to the house in the late 1890s. The hangings on the walls were specially made for the tearoom, they illustrate trees found in the park. See if you can spot them on your walks.

The window seats are ideal for viewing the White Park cattle which spend most of the summer in the inner park.

Mouthwatering strawberry roulade is a regular on the menu

Wherever possible, we adapt our menu to suit whatever is in season at the time, from main meals to deserts.

In some months of the year we even serve Dinefwr venison. Talk about knowing where your food comes from, the fallow deer at Dinefwr have grazed this ancient woodland pasture since the year 1660. If you'd like to try it at home, venison is also on sale at our farm shop.

Award winning produce

We're proud to say that our venison is a winner of the prestigious National Trust Fine Farm Produce award.

Our fallow deer can be traced back to the year 1660. They graze on the fallen leaves of veteran oaks and on an ancient woodland pasture that hasn't been altered by man for centuries. Dinefwr is the only parkland National Nature Reserve in Wales too - can you think of a better place to get your venison?

Our venison is on sale at our farm shop in Newton House. We also have a good working relationship with local suppliers cnwd and Cwmcerrig Farm Shop and Grill. Our venison is even available in Fortnum and Mason in London and intermittently in our very own tearoom.
