The bunkhouse at Dinefwr is one of our best-kept secrets in Carmarthenshire. Nestled within the magnificent Dinefwr estate in Llandeilo, it’s the ideal location for any large group wishing to experience everything that the county of Carmarthenshire has to offer.
Carmarthenshire is fondly known as the Garden of Wales but there are also many beaches, mountain ranges, cities and other attractions to explore nearby. The bunkhouse is an open-plan, apartment style, self-catering accommodation situated in the inner courtyard complex next to Newton House on the Dinefwr estate. It can be booked by groups looking for a comfortable place to stay at an affordable price. It sleeps up to 15 in male and female dormitories and has separate bathroom facilities, a large kitchen/diner and lounge. You can also enjoy some spectacular views over medieval deer park from the bunkhouse balcony.
For six weeks of the year, the bunkhouse is used as a base for our working holidays, where a group of committed and enthusiastic volunteers fuse their time off to come and help us with the manual and maintenance work at our properties. The bunkhouse is the ideal retreat after a hard days graft and, depending on the weather; you can either warm up by the log fire or next to the barbecue on the patio balcony.
