Having been born and raised on the North Wales coast and lived there for 40 or so years, Anna relocated to Shropshire with her family in 2011 and joined the team at Dudmaston as our Catering Manager in June 2013.
Anna has taken on the challenge of the Orchard tea-room with enthusiasm and the support of her team. She is the person responsible for creating all the fantastic menus we have on offer. We do hope you enjoy them.
Bread and butter pudding is one of those good old-fashioned Sunday roast accompaniments which is cheap as chips. Give this staple recipe a try, but give it your own zing, how about a spoonful of marmalade to add a citrus, zingy twist and soaking the sultanas in sherry for a few hours too!
How many of you out there remember school cookery lessons or classic school dinners where bread and butter pudding was always to be found on the menu? Bread puddings date back centuries. For the vast majority of human history, most people could not afford to waste food, so a number of uses for stale bread were invented.
The Apple Store
The Apple Store is open for business. Located in the Brewhouse Courtyard this wonderful old building has been carefully converted creating a haven for visitors to relax and unwind. Serving specialised teas, coffees, sandwiches, pastries and handmade cake make this the place to stop on your way to visit the Hall or as you come from the gardens.
Specialist diet? Then we can help. This year we have developed a larger gluten-free range including homemade scones, sponges and biscuits. But no requirement is too small if you have something particular in mind, and advance warning is possible, then give Anna a call. But don’t be afraid to ask us for what you need, we will do our best to help.
Fancy a shot?
Fancy a coffee or a drinking chocolate with a twist? Give our syrup shots a try. Why not match a gingerbread latte with a piece of our freshly baked gingerbread cake? Or a shot of hazelnut syrup with our new pecan Danish pastry? Whatever the combination it’s sure to give your taste buds a treat and is an extremely delicious way to remember your day.
We are committed to providing the best quality products for you to enjoy and believe in helping our local economy. Our meat is all sourced from Morville, our ice-cream comes from Spot Loggins in Worcestershire, and our kitchen garden supplies our vegetables. Don’t forget to look for the Kitchen Garden board giving you up to date information on what has been used today.
