More than just a walk in the park
Set in a magnificent deer park, this Georgian house tells the stories of the owners and servants who lived here. You can discover the salacious scandals of the 7th Earl of Stamford, who married Catherine Cocks, a former bare-back circus rider, and the 2nd Earl of Warrington, so enamoured with his wife that he wrote anonymously on the desirability of divorce. These, and other fascinating stories, are waiting to be uncovered in this treasure-packed house.
Dunham Massey has one of the north’s great gardens, including Britain’s largest winter garden and our spectacular new rose garden opens in late spring.

The Rose Garden is open!
Dunham’s brand new rose garden opened this week, after Rosa ‘Dunham Massey’, bred by Peter Beales Roses, was launched at the Chelsea Flower Show. We’re delighted that it’s been shortlisted for Plant of the Year!
Visit the shop page for information about how you can buy your very own Dunham Massey rose, and the garden page to find out about special evening openings of the garden in June.
