A warm welcome

Your visit to Dunster Castle and Gardens will always be met with a friendly smile and a warm welcome.

There is plenty to see and do in the gardens and house, with knowledgable and approachable volunteers happy to answer queries or share the secrets of the Luttrell family home with you.

Time for tea?

Treat yourself to a cream tea at the Dunster watermill tea room

Light refreshments are available on the South Terrace. Or enjoy something a little heartier at the riverside Watermill tea room (please contact in advance). The picturesque village of Dunster also has plenty of cafés and pubs.

Coach parking

A carriage at Dunster Castle, Somerset.

Coaches are asked to drop visitors off by the ticket office and shop before following signs to the free village car park at Dunster Steep. Your coach can then pick you up in the same spot at the end of your visit.

Hitch a lift

Our free buggy service is available every day in the open season between 11am and 4.30pm. The buggy regularly takes visitors from the car park and ticket office areas to the castle entrance and back again.
